Phelps Painting Services Pty Ltd (ABN 26 671 438 949) (“Phelps Painting”, “we”, “us” or “our”) provides painting services on the Gold Coast, Queensland. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information collected through this website. We aim to handle personal information responsibly and in accordance with applicable Australian privacy requirements.
Information we collect
When you request a quote through our website, we collect the details you give us: your name, phone number, suburb, the service you’re interested in, and the information you provide about your job. You can optionally give us your email address, and optionally attach photos or files (images or PDFs) to help us understand the work. We only ask for the information we need to respond to your enquiry.
To keep the website secure and working properly, a limited amount of technical information may be processed when you use the site — for example, to help confirm that enquiry submissions are genuine (spam protection) and to measure website performance, such as page-loading speed and Core Web Vitals. We do not currently use Google Analytics or advertising cookies. If we introduce website analytics in the future, we will update this policy to explain it first.
How we use your information
We use the information you provide to respond to your enquiry and prepare a quote, to contact you about your enquiry, and to operate, maintain, secure and measure the performance of our website. We do not use your information for marketing, and we do not sell your personal information.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of trusted service providers to run the website and handle your enquiry. We use these providers to operate the website and process enquiries:
- Vercel — website hosting, private file storage and security/performance infrastructure.
- Neon — the database where your enquiry is securely stored.
- Resend — sends the internal notification email that alerts us to a new enquiry so we can respond. That notification is delivered to our own business email account.
- Cloudflare — “Turnstile” spam protection, which helps confirm that form submissions are genuine.
We may also disclose personal information where required or authorised by law.
Storage and overseas processing
Your enquiry is stored in our enquiry database, and any files you upload are kept in private storage. Some of our service providers may process information outside Australia.
How we protect your information
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information. This includes serving the website over a secure connection (HTTPS/encryption in transit), keeping any uploaded files in private storage, and restricting access to enquiry information to those who need it to respond to you. No website or online service can be completely secure, but we work to protect your information appropriately.
How long we keep it
We keep the website enquiry backup for 12 months. Any files you upload are not kept longer than the enquiry they relate to. This 12-month period applies to the website enquiry backup only. It does not necessarily apply to separate business records — such as accounting, contract, warranty or other records we may be required to keep — which may be retained separately in line with our legal and business obligations.
Accessing, correcting or deleting your information
You can ask us to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, where applicable. Please contact us using the details below and we’ll help.
Privacy complaints
If you have a concern about how we’ve handled your personal information, please raise it with us first using the details below so we can try to resolve it. You may also be able to raise privacy concerns with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) as an external avenue, where applicable.

We will respond to data breaches in accordance with applicable legal obligations, including the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme where it applies.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version is identified by the effective date shown above, and any material changes will be reflected on this page.
